Antique farm equipment

Simon Hawketts's Photo Blog

I found this old item of agricultural equipment lying in a field at the Beamish museum in County Durham. I have no idea what it is or what it’s used for, other than it was obviously pulled along and so was presumably used in the preparation of the land or sowing ?

Anyway, understanding the subject matter isn’t essential for taking a picture so I took this as we walked from the main village back to the entry point to the museum in late afternoon.

I did a small amount of Lightroom 5 post processing to reduce sky highlights and darken the sky a bit.
